Today I wanted to talk about procrastination and being lazy because for the last few days I have been in an awful rut, where I have just not wanted to do anything, I am struggling to get up and do any work or anything I needed to do. And I know I am not the only one who get into these ruts and I get sooo frustrated when I do. I wanted to share with you guys some tips and tricks, what I do to help me start being productive again.
I think the biggest thing, out of everything that is going to motivate me and to actually make me want to work is the environment that I am in, whether is a work place or study place. I think this is the biggest tip, you have to be in the right environment, to have the right energy. Just look at these pinterest pics..
I have nothing to do with these, I just like exploring and wishing one of them was mine😩😤.
Home decor whether is DIY or you just buy anything new it makes the environment less boring. I enjoy decorating my room aka home with pictures, candles, light and get to organize the little piece of decor and then I also find that when my room is organized with my bits and pieces I feel more motivated to work and not procrastinate.
The other thing is doing a declutter to get rid of stuff that I don’t need anymore, or by cleaning my bench tops, the floor etc…
Do what makes you happy– I love playing around with my make up that is why my brushes are always dirty😓, so what I like to do when being boring is cleaning them.
Some other steps to help yourself get into the flow and get more work done is music to set the mood. Find your favorite playlist which puts you in the zone.
The last strategies you can try is to journal and/or meditate before you get to work. Sometimes we cant focus on our work because our mind is so distracted. We are thinking about a million things at once. So sometimes it helps me to sit down and journal for two or three pages before I get to work.
